Cowher joined The Pat McAfee Show and discussed plenty of NFL.

One of them was about Belichick and the Patriots, who have struggled to compete this season with a 3-11 record.

Belichick is reportedly on the hot seat as reports claim owner Robert Kraft has made up his mind to fire Belichick after the campaign.

In the previous 24 seasons, the 71-year-old coach led the Patriots to six Super Bowl wins with Tom Brady as his quarterback.

Cowher knows Belichick plenty after being the Steelers head coach from 1992-2006.

The 66-year-old gave his honest thoughts about the situation in New England with Belichick.

"Bill Belichick is trying to find a QB but that defense is still playing really well," Cowher said.

"I'd hate to see it come to an end in New England because he's part of the culture in Boston."

Patriots quarterbacks have thrown 14 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in 2023.

Belichick is set for the third losing season in four since Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

The veteran coach didn't answer questions about his future before the team's Week 15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

He repeated after each question about his future: "I'm getting ready for Kansas City."

Cowher won eight division titles and Super Bowl 40 during his 15 years as head coach for the Steelers.

He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2020.

Since 2007, Cowher has been an analyst for The NFL Today on CBS.
