Born on December 31, 1993, in Hartford, Ohio, Blaney is in his eighth full-time Nascar Cup Series season, and in his sixth full season driving for team owner Roger Penske.
Blaney, who drives the number 12 Team Penske Ford Mustang, is the defending 2023 Nascar Cup Series champion, the 2023 Coca-Cola 600 winner, and the 2022 All-Star Race winner.

When is the 2024 Nascar Cup Series?
The 2024 Nascar Cup Series officially begins in February.
The first event in the 2024 Nascar Cup Series will be the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The LA Memorial Coliseum also held the event in 2023, and was Nascar's first race inside a sports stadium since a 1956 race in Chicago, Illinois, at Soldier Field.
The Busch Light Clash will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 8 pm ET.
The series runs all the way through November 2024, when a new champion will be announced.
Between February and November, Nascar's top drivers will take part in three exhibition events, 26 regular season races, 10 playoff races, and two All-Star showdowns.
Following the Busch Light Clash, the next two events will be the Bluegreen Vacations Duel at Daytona on Thursday, February 15, and Friday, February 16, 2024.
The Nascar Cup Series regular season officially kicks off with the Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Daytona 500 starts on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 2:30 pm ET.
