Amazon's Echo Pop is currently being sold at a 55% discount on the retailer's website.

The gadget, released earlier this year in May, typically sets customers back $39.99.
Now, to many users' surprise, that price has been slashed to a mere $17.99.
And if users are Prime members, they can also receive free shipping and handling on their orders.

ECHO POP
The Echo Pop is Amazon’s next-generation Echo device, featuring a redesigned speaker system and a more compact body.
It comes with a 1.95 front-firing speaker, Eero Wi-Fi support, and a built-in Alexa assistant.
The latter means users can control their device with just their voice, for a seamless experience.
Like all other Echo devices, the Pop can play music, curate shopping lists, and be controlled via the Alexa app.
