THERE'S nobody you can count on to be more honest than your own mother - as one bride-to-be has discovered while hunting for her dream wedding dress.
A woman called Jordan can be seen trying on a stunning blush gown for her upcoming big day in tonight's 'Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire', only to be told by her outspoken mum Julie that it is "too figure-hugging" and "all bum and tum".

In this evening's episode of the TLC show, stylist Gok Wan attempts to appease both family members at the Ava Rose Hamilton Boutique.
Jordan wants a frock that is blush, with a sweetheart neckline, lace top and a little bling.
However, Julie is keen for something in white that's fit for a princess and a tad 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding', admitting "me and Jordan are like chalk and cheese at times, and I'm very traditionalist".
To start off with, the bride-to-be slips on a white option that Gok thinks will keep the mother-of-the-bride happy.

Surprisingly, Jordan is a fan of the wedding dress - despite its colour - revealing: "I really like it.
"What if I actually fall in love with white? It's going to screw up my plans!"
Julie exclaims: "You look stunning, I love everything."
But she adds that it's "too plain around the bottom" and that "I wanted lace pattern all the way down", before concluding "that isn't the dress for me".

Next, Jordan tries on the blush fishtail-style dress that divides mother and daughter.
"I love the straps, I love the bling, I love the lace pattern," says Jordan.
"The colour is more my colour. I prefer it over the white."
However, her mum wears a horrified expression, prompting Gok to joke: "Mum looks as if someone has stolen Christmas!"

Julie explains: "I don't like it at all. It's too figure-hugging, I don't think it's the right shaped dress for you. I don't think the figure-hugging suits her."
Upon hearing her mum's reaction, a hurt Jordan admits: "It did kind of knock me down a little bit, hearing comments that it wasn't suitable for my figure."
As she heads back to the changing room, Julie adds: "I thought it just made her look all tum and bum. I could have cried!"
Gok then tries to find a dress that fits with both of their wishes.

"So I'm hoping this next gown is going to please both of them," Gok tells the camera.
"It's blush for Jordan but with a massive skirt for mum."
He also adds a belt and changes the straps, leading a delighted Jordan to enthuse: "I just love it; it's ruffles, it's bling, it's lace, the new straps, I love the colour!"
This time her mum is also overjoyed, admitting tearfully: "Oh you look stunning. It's perfect, pud. Just perfect."
She adds: "She's got her own ideas and I've got mine, but I wouldn't swap her for the world!"
