During the third quarter with with Ohio State 3-0 up, Missouri defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine tackled wideout Xavier Johnson, pushing him out of bounds.
As Abrams-Draine made his way back onto the field, someone in Buckeyes gear on the sideline sneakily grabbed the towel hanging from the Tigers' pants.
Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, were less than impressed by the move captured by ESPN cameras - especially given the final result.
"He gets to leave with a souvenir from the winning team," wrote one viewer.
