Florence Pugh took barbiecore to the next level in a completely sheer hot pink gown

Florence Pugh took a peek at everyone's recent Barbiecore looks and said “hold my Barbie Dream Beer.”

On July 8, the Black Widow star attended Valentino's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022/2023 fashion show in Rome, Italy wearing a completely sheer dress with nothing but a pair of underwear underneath.

The floor-length Valentino gown was a showstopper: hot pink and completely made up of tulle with a dramatic halter collar and open back.

Pugh balanced the drama of the dress with simple pink jewelry, keeping her blonde bob slicked back and opting for a topey eyeshadow look and a pale pink lip.

Still, the actor added more than a bit of edge to the feminine ensemble with hot pink platform pumps and a studded pink Valentino purse.

During the show, Florence Push was seated front-row next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Following the 2022 Met Gala, where Valentino dressed a table of celebs in hot pink looks from creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli's Fall/Winter 2022 collection in collaboration with Pantone, Barbiecore has taken over as the number one trend of the summer.

With this look, Florence Pugh is taking things a step further by combining the vibrant shade with the sheer dresses that dominated red carpets this spring.

Of course, she was not the only one who wore hot pink to the Valentino Haute Couture show.

Riverdale star Charles Melton—who was seated next to Kate Hudson and Andrew Garfield—wore a head-to-toe pink Valentino suit while Anne Hathaway opted for a sparkly pink minidress with a pair of dramatic pumps that were even taller than Pugh's heels.

Of course, Valentino's playful collection isn't the only factor behind the color's sudden and overwhelming popularity.

Thanks to promotional images from the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, it seems everyone in Hollywood is cosplaying as their favorite childhood doll.
