Head coach Robert Saleh noted that "everything is positive" with Wilson but he must be cleared to play by doctors for this Sunday.
"Optimistic. We'll see, honestly," Saleh said.
"I'm not going to speak for him or the docs, but there's a couple hurdles he has to clear."
Wilson suffered the injury in Week 10's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Earlier this week, the 2022 No. 10 overall pick revealed the 4-5 Jets held a players-only meeting to "clear the air" during their offensive struggles.
"The guys talked, and we had the floor, it was just us," Wilson said.
"We got to make sure we'll all on the same page about where we're at and how the hell we get out of this funk, man.
"That was really the message. When it comes from one of your teammates, it always hits different.

"It always resonates a little bit more."
If Wilson misses Sunday's game versus the Bills, it would be a big blow to the Gang Green air attack.
He leads the Jets in targets (95), receptions (55), receiving yards (642), and TD catches (2) this season.
"I don't want to jinx it," Saleh said when asked why he seemed hesitant on Wilson's playing status.
"I should knock on wood, shouldn't I? But yeah, we'll see. He feels good. He's speaking the right language, everything is positive.
"I just, like I said, he's got to go through a couple of hurdles."
