SHOPPERS grabbing holiday season presents have used Home Depot's long-term returns policies for extra peace of mind.

The hardware chain offers a 90-day return policy on most of its purchases.

Customers who purchase any items from the store can return items well into 2024.

Shoppers who complete their purchase with a Home Depot Consumer Credit Card have 365 days to return unwanted items.

Home Depot said that some products segments have different policies.

Customers purchasing plants, paint, furniture, gas-powered equipment, appliances, and other product segments don't qualify for the extended returns.

Home Depot requires valid photo identification to accept returns in-store.

Online shoppers can send their products back after printing a return label via their emails.

Customers must drop off their online returns at the nearest UPS Access Point for online free returns.
