Who is CNN anchor Brianna Keilar?
Brianna Keilar was born on September 21, 1980, in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
In 1982, she moved to the United States with her family, settling in Orange County, California.
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001 with dual bachelor's degrees in mass communications and psychology, she began her news career as a reporter for CBS affiliate Kima in Yakima, Washington.
Keilar later moved to CBS News, where she served as a news anchor, reporter, and producer for various newscasts, including the weekend edition of CBS Evening News.

After leaving CBS for CNN in the early 2000s, Keilar reported on breaking news and was the first CNN reporter on the scene of the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre.
Keilar also served as a White House, senior political, and congressional correspondent for CNN.

Keilar later met Fernando Lujan, an active-duty Green Beret, and the duo got married on December 30, 2016, in Las Vegas.
At the time, Lujan was also a director on the National Security Council at the White House.
Lujan, an active-duty soldier, has been on multiple combat deployments since the couple wed in 2016.
In an interview with Military Families Magazine, Keilar said she was "completely unprepared" about marrying someone in the military, but meeting fellow military spouses helped her navigate through those difficulties.

On June 8, 2018, Keilar gave birth to the couple's son, Antonio Allen Martinez Lujan.
Keilar went into labor nearly a month before her due date, leaving Lujan scrambling to make it to the hospital in time for the delivery.
In the end, he managed to get to Georgetown University Hospital just in the nick of time, traveling back from Japan to Washington, DC, with 40 minutes to spare.
