I turned our dark downstairs loo with floral wallpaper into a monochrome dream - but trolls say the before is better

A HOME interiors fan has left people divided after sharing the fabulous monochrome makeover she's given her loo.

Georgia Berry, from Northern Ireland, took to TikTok to proudly share the transformation - but it appears that many preferred the look of the ''moody'' aesthetic before the glow-up.

The glow-up has seriously left people divided - so what do YOU think?

According to Georgia, the floral emerald wallpaper the previous owners had left behind was too ''dark'' - to the point, she felt ''depressed'' whenever entering the small loo.

''The room has no window and it was just so dark, always dreaded going in there,'' said the young woman, adding that ''everything had turned yellow'' and it was in a desperate need of ''some love''.

Sharing the Before and After snaps of the loo, Georgia said she also ''hated'' when guests would come to her home, as the aesthetic of the loo ''didn't match the calm rooms'' elsewhere.

'' [It] was just so dark and claustrophobic,'' she explained in the comments under the video.

''People don’t realise how bad it looked up close all the wood work yellow and paper wasn’t lined up or matched.''

To give the mini space a brand new appearance, the home interiors fanatic decided to ditch the dark colours and embrace a more monochrome look.

The floral emerald wallpaper was swapped with an adorable white wallpaper with cute sausage dogs that cost her £56 per roll, all-black fittings, a sleek mirror cabinet they'd purchased from Next, as well as wall art - with a Dachshund reading a newspaper.

To complete the glow-up, Georgia also added peel-and-stick tiles from B&M by the sink where once was a grey splashback.

''One of the best room transformations we have had (except living room),'' she was all chuffed in the caption.

However, whilst she preferred the new loo, not everyone was a fan of the makeover, as dozens raced to comments to share their thoughts.

I transformed my tired council house bedroom into a luxury space - people can't believe the items I used are only from Wickes and IKEA

One said: ''I absolutely adore the before bathroom, nothing wrong with after either, I just have maximalist taste.''

Someone else wondered if she had uploaded the snaps in the wrong order, asking: ''This is in reverse, right?''

''But that emerald is beautiful,'' another reckoned.

''I’m confused. The before was stunning,'' someone else chimed in.

Luckily for Georgia - who didn't seem that bothered with the cruel comments - there were also those praising the glow-up.

''Based on these comments, I think I'm the only person who prefers the after,'' a social media user said.

''Hated the before. People don’t realize what you did opened it up so much!'' a fellow fan added.

''Also, love that mirror. I have a tiny bathroom and I am going to get one!''

A third agreed, writing: ''It looks so much bigger!

''The old one was pretty to look at in a photo but it seems like it would be claustrophobic to actually use.''
