The band was focused on singer Gregg Alexander, who wrote and produced all of their songs and was the only member that remained with them throughout their career. They only issued one album, Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too, in 199It was an alternative rock album strongly inspired by the rock and soul of the 1970s, and it included strong criticism of corporate America among other things, including radio-friendly contemporary rock tunes and love ballads. In mid-1999, Alexander, who had become tired of travelling and promotional interviews, dissolved the group before the release of their second single, “Someday We’ll Know,” in order to devote his time to composing and producing music for other artists. Consequently, “Someday We’ll Know” garnered little notice in most nations, and the band is generally regarded a “one-hit wonder” by the general public. The song “Someday We’ll Know” was later recorded by Hall & Oates on their 2003 album Do It for Love, which was released the same year.
