Chicago P.D.
Ready to see a Chicago with Kelton as mayor? Well, you won't have to. He won the election, meaning that the unit would soon be falling apart. ... except the episode ended with Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) answering a call at his house to find that he'd been shot to death in his home. The camera then cut to Voight driving away from the scene.
Most of the episode was spent with the unit trying to find out a way to take down Kelton, while Antonio, Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) and Voight tried to find dirt on Heller, who was handling the case that Ruzek covered for. Antonio got one tip but it referred to Heller's daughter and he didn't want to get others' families involved; he lied to Voight and said he had knew nothing.
Ultimately, Ruzek refused to cave in, creating a furious Voight and a distraught Antonio. Ruzek was arrested and booked and Antonio went back to his old ways, popping pills again. Again, this was Seda's last episode, but how he'll be written out was not revealed.
Before Kelton was murdered, Voight and Halstead had a talk like they never had before, with Halstead demanding answers about what was going on. While Voight didn't give him any details, he told Halstead that one day, he'd be running the unit. Afterward, an emotional Halstead told Hailey (Tracy Spiridakos), "We lost."
When she told him that Kelton's reckoning was coming, he responded, "not in time for this unit, for us." She then reminded him they hadn't been partners long, but his look and the way he said her name told it all -- their working relationship was not the "us" he was referring to.
