SELMA Blair said she "cried" during her "quiet Christmas" and had "trouble staying awake."
The 48-year-old actress opened up about the difficult holiday as she posted pictures with her son Arthur on Instagram.

Alongside a series of snaps that captured the actress and her nine-year-old son celebrating the holiday, Selma wrote: "A quiet Christmas.
"We did not see our friends or family besides our tiny group.
"I have had trouble staying awake. And crying."
She continued: "I know the holidays can be hard for some.
"The first with my mother dead. The first in Covid.

"The first with more hope for our world than I have ever wished for. The healthcare workers and teachers and restaurant owners. All of it."
The Cruel Intentions actress concluded: "And I thank you humbly. For being here.
"Ps. The pine cones were very tasty."
The series of snaps showed Selma wearing a crown while being presented a plate of pine cones, a shot of her and Arthur posing in sweatpants and a third photo of Arthur smiling as he opened his presents.
The actress shares Arthur with ex Jason Bleick, who she dated from 2010-2012.

Before her relationship with the fashion designer, Selma was married to writer and producer Ahmet Zappa from 2004-2006.
The Dark Horse actress was diagnosed with MS back in 2018 and admitted she cried with relief after years of uncertainty.
Selma said she believes she has been in the early stages of MS for the past 15 years, but was only taken seriously by doctors recently.
The actress said: "They weren't tears of panic, they were tears of knowing I had to give in to a body that had loss of control.
"And there was some relief in that."
